    • Interesting fact for you: Radios were actually where soap operas were born. Radio stations realized that the majority of people listening to their radios during the day were housewives and started targeting their advertisements specifically to these women by advertising "housewivey" items like cleaning products. These cleaning product companies sponsored the daytime dramas, hence the name "soap opera." The history of radios, especially in the 1920s is really interesting and I would definitely read up on it if you haven't already.
