People kill animals for different reasons. Some for 'experience', for their meat, and others just because they hate animals. What is your opinion on killing animals?
There's 'sports' where they kill animals. I strongly disagree on that, because it's pointless. What's the point of killing animals just for your own fun?
And then, there's obviously killings for food. I disagree on how they kill them, because it's horrible, but meat is needed in human life. So if they'd find another way (which I'm sure that there is) it would obviously be better.
But we're humans and horrible, so people who kill animals won't stop 'till they're extinct. And they obviously won't stop killing them that way for meat, so all we can do is hope.
Well If I go out and hunt for my food I think that would be right since the animal has a chance to get away or if I get to close it can stomp the crap out of me.
Meat is not necessary for human life. Every food except for sugar and alcohol contains protein of some sort. It's very easy to eat vegan or vegetarian and remain well nourished. I agree with you that killing procedures are horrible. Have you seen Food, Inc?
That is a pretty common misconception. Vitamin B12 can only be found in meat products. So if you follow a completely vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, you have to find it in chemical forms. I know cause i am the only meat eater out of 4 roommates, and they all have tons of their vitamin B12 pills lying around the kitchen. So while i agree that the process of slaughter is morally questionable, meat IS necessary for human nutrition, unless you wanna rely on supplements.
the sublements are available. it's the only vitamin that a vegan needs. it's also available in other animal food, milkproducts especially, so meat is not essential.

Eating the right foods together will get you the same nutrients that are in meat.
As soon as I started eating a vegetarian diet I got a million times healthier.
I would say that knocking out a ton of that processed food, chemical additives and whatnot to have the fresh energy and vitamin/mineral/fiber content of the vegetarian diet is highly responsible too for why you feel better, and it's not all just the absence of meat.
But hey better is better and I suport you in that. The scientist in me just wanted to identify all the variables in the hypothesis :))
