People kill animals for different reasons. Some for 'experience', for their meat, and others just because they hate animals. What is your opinion on killing animals?

Hunting for sport should be banned!
And I think that people should reduse their usage of animals and meat. The amount of meat we eat is unhealthy, anyways...

I believe that if there were a lot less people in the world and there wasn't such mass killings of animals inhumanely for food it would be less looked down upon. Animals being raised to do nothing but become your food source is not fair. In ancient times, when survival of the fittest was still relevant and you had to go out with your spear, I believe killing animals for food was fine and normal for everyday life. Now anyone can go to the shop and pick up some dead animal, prepackaged and everything. People don't feel as guilty eating the meat because the reality of the animal being raised to be killed is distant. You think of it as some meat you picked up from the supermarket, not some meat that was a little, clucking chicken once upon a time.
Killing animals for sport has no purpose, and I think most everyone agrees with that.
I'm a vegetarian because I think of meat as the little, clucking chicken that was born to be food, and it disgusts me.

I'm a vegetarian, also. I'm not trying to be rude to other people, but it seems like people have gotten dumber since ancient times. People say "Animals eat eachother in the wild" or "We're at the top of the food chain". Well, hello?! Put it together. We're at the top of the food chain because we're "smarter" than animals, if that is so, than that's probably why animals eat eachother in the wild. They don't know that it's wrong, but we do. People take advantage of the fact that we're "smarter" than animals. That pisses me off the most.

warning: message below is an epic grammar fail

But why do you assume that it's wrong? Animals kill each other in the wild for many reasons, like for example:
- They are prepared to eat meat only and without it they would die.
- They don't let other populations grow too much (not intentionally of course)
- For sport (ok, that applies only for humans and orcas)

Another thing: Think about what would happen to most of cows, pigs and other farm animals in the wild. People kill them faster and more humanitarian.

And we have fangs and developed brains for a reason (a clue: hunting for lettuce is not what I mean)

orcas kill for sport?

Without any other reason, just for killing. It's quite similar.

it seems the more evolved animals are the more they tend to do that. look at cats and chimpansees.

it's still no reason for us, with our supirior brain, to torture like we do.
i mean factory farming, and slaughter methods.

or killing for fun, what with being above the rest of creation.
i use that word loosely, nothing to do with creationism.
