Nerdfighters

What's the last book you read? Did you like it? Why or why not? Is it part of a series? Did you identify with a certain character well? Would you recommend it? Were you recommended it by a friend? Were you happy with the ending?

I'll start.

The last book I read was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. My friends had been nagging me to read the series, so I started with the first book, which was great. Then I got hold of the second book and read it. It's really good. I'm not usually one for super-fiction, but I like this Harry Potter. :) Though I think a lot of people here have already read it, I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't. I thought the fight between Harry and the professor was a disappointment, though. It could've lasted a tad longer. But all in all, great book. Great series.

Your turn! Go go go!

Okay I'm sorry but.. You're just now reading Harry Potter?!
Anyways. Right now I'm actually in the middle of the book 1984 by George Orwell.
I'm not really going to comment on it, since I haven't finished it, but I would definitely recommend it. :D

I am. I'm sorry, do I offend you by my slow acceptance of how the most of the world revolves around HP? I wasn't interested at first. But I did say it was a good series, didn't I? :)

As someone who started reading HP back in 1999: you're never too late to start reading HP, or any book for that matter. It's an awesome series and it's super awesome that you're reading the books!! ;)

You're just now reading 1984?!

It's been out for 60 years now... and it's a million times as awesome as Harry Potter.

I still haven't read Harry Potter. I think I read half of the first one when it came out and never got into it.
