Middle names

Today at school I realized something. Girls generally have one of two middle names; Anne/Ann or Marie. How uncreative is that? I mean, literally EVERYONE I asked either had one of those two middle names or were closely related to someone who had one.

The most popular for guys is Michael, apparently.

So what's your middle name? Do you find it embarrassing? Have you ever noticed this trend before?

I like my middle name, even though it IS Marie, like everyone else.

Seriously. My first name is Alysia, which is a rare spelling, and then it's followed by something as common and boring as Anne. But I've considered using it as my stage name before, instead of using my last name because my last name is hard to pronounce.; ▶ Reply to This

I mean, it's pretty cool because it's spelled differently than the usual Leanne or something like that.
The only thing I don't like about it is that my grandma, my aunt, and my cousin all have that same middle name.
I guess I understand that they were going for some kind of family name thing or whatever, but it feels like I'm sharing it with them - I just want my own name!

My poor mom, though! She got Dolores for a middle name. At least her first name isn't the one my grandma originally wanted to give her: Didi. XD

One of my cousins has my last name (the family name) as her middle name to keep it going - my sister and I will be the last of the name since we're girls, which kind of sucks. I dunno if I could bring myself to give my kid that as a middle name tho.; ▶ Reply to This
