Middle names

[Epic Paradox]

Today at school I realized something. Girls generally have one of two middle names; Anne/Ann or Marie. How uncreative is that? I mean, literally EVERYONE I asked either had one of those two middle names or were closely related to someone who had one.

The most popular for guys is Michael, apparently.

So what's your middle name? Do you find it embarrassing? Have you ever noticed this trend before?

I like my middle name, even though it IS Marie, like everyone else.

My middle name is Elizabeth. There is another girl in my class with the same first and middle name. And apparently lots of people here have it too... o.o

I'm not sure how that would confuse people. Jordan is as much of a girl name as it is a guy's.

four of my friends have the same middle name as I do: "Lynn" or "Lynne" it's very strange. Also we were all born in a period of 3 months. We met in college and were playing a drinking game and discovered this. It still like of freaks me out.

Mine is Marjorie. I used to hate it, because..Well, I'm not sure why I hated it. I just did. As my middle name; mit's my grandmother's name, and my mom's middle name as well.
Now, I don't mind it too much. :) If people are talking about middle names, and mine comes up, everyone always calls my middle name "Margarine". . .

My middle name is Erma. I was really embarrassed by it when I was younger. I mean, it's just sort of odd. I've come to terms with it now though and appreciate that my parents were trying to honor my namesake.

Funnily enough, we talked about middle names in school today. My first and middle names are Danielle Lyn. Danielle after my uncle Daniel, and Lyn after my mom's nickname. Her name is Evelyn, and for some odd reason or another they decided not to bestow the full name on me. The only thing I don't like is that my last name is also really popular, so my name can get lost in a crowd sometimes. Definitely planning on changing it when I'm legal.

Ugh, mine's Eleanor. Blah. I really don't like it. I wish it were more interesting. Like Ruby or Opal or Tempest. But that's just me.

Mine is Erin. Not embarrassing but not particularly exciting. I've even thought of going by my middle name before because it seems to fit me better than my first name, but it would be hard to change over at this point. Maybe if I ever make a big move to a new city I'd do it.

Actually of my 8 aunts and uncles, 6 of them go by their middle names. Weird huh? None of them are Ann, Marie, or Michael though :) Nobody who's middle name I know has those as middle names, but then I don't make a habit of asking people what their middle name is so...who knows ;)
