Nerdfighters

Hello fellow nerdfighters.
I was wondering how many people would like to get together to create a charity album to sell on the web, and help some charities with the procedes. I was thinking maybe one track each, of any style, funny or serious, and bring it all together to sell for the greater good! Anybody can help out of course. Im finishing my degree in music at the moment so im in a perfect position to exploit my uni's resources! And i cant think of a better community to do this with.

Does anybody have te spare time and effort to help bring this together?

So if I'm getting this right I would be recording my own song and sending that in for use on the album correct?

Because if that's so then I'm in. I can write a song and me and my friend can record it.

My friend plays ukelele and I play guitar and sing.  I can record & edit the song on my computer then send it to you, right?

It may take me a good bit of time to get the whole song done though, but I can be quick if there are certain time restrains .

Yeah thats spot on. If any one needs help mixing and mastering then they can send me the raw dry audio and i will bounce it in logic, but if you can do it yourself then thats even better.

If it takes you time to write quality, then take the time, theres no rush at the moment.

I can contribute a song in 2 or 3 weeks once it's been mastered :-)

i just finished the song ! now i am buying a mic to record it!

It would be cool if everyone could make their followers/FB fans aware of whats going on here.

Such a cool idea, I'd love to help out. Let me know if you have any needs for a writer.

I can do alternative music and classical flute music. I sing alternative covers and my own stuff, same deal for flute.

Im a guitarist, so Im up for anything ;P

I would like to participate in this thing too :)

I don't have any mixing experience, though i do have the equipment to record with fairly decent quality.

This sounds really cool, and I'd love to get involved. I can do covers (esp. folk stuff from ages ago, so no worries about copyright) or original music on vocals and ukulele. (To prove that I do know what I'm doing -- mostly -- my YouTube channel's here.)

Any body who is starting this is free to do so, but I can't guarantee it will be included on the first release.

I got a mic!
