I know I haven't been around much as your Books NM and we haven't had a blurbing book club selection in months, but with the recent release of Maureen Johnson's latest book, which is fantastic, I thought I should change all of that.
You know the drill by now. Read the book, and then come back here and discuss it AND blurb it.
So, for those of you who've read the book already, what did you think of it?

Permalink Reply by Perla Saki on October 23, 2011 at 1:57pm I really enjoyed the book. If fact, I finished it in just one day. I couldn't bear not knowing how it ended! Great cliffhanger at the end. I hope there is a next one.
blurb:
American goes to London and almost dies. Strange things happen.
Permalink Reply by Chelsie Olivia on November 27, 2011 at 8:18am It was my favorite Maureen Johnson book to-date. Honestly, the story was just perfect.
I pushed the book onto a friend after I was done with it so I could have excited conversations about it.
xD
Blurb:
A charming London tale about a girl who sees ghosts.
Permalink Reply by Rebecca Delamere-Sanders on November 28, 2011 at 6:11pm I found that she did a fantastic job on the characters. (My favourite was Alistair, he had me at Panic.)
Blurb:
There's panic on the streets of London...and ghosts.

was great. i loved the fact that the existance of ghosts renewed that sense of suspense and urgency one usually doesn't feel in first person narrative. it creates the possibility in our minds that maybe this story won't end with her walking away from the bad guy. (at least not on actual fleshy legs) i have to say though, while i saw the sacrifice coming (from Jo) i really didn't anticipate her becoming the terminus.

Permalink Reply by Danno on December 23, 2011 at 8:02pm while i maintain that this being a discussion of the book means spoilers are kinda implied, in the wake of John's latest video i feel a little guilty.
Permalink Reply by Amelia on December 15, 2011 at 8:08pm I loved Alistair, too! Mostly for the way I pictured his hair, even though it was probably like Flock of Seagulls hair.
