NaNoWriMo, anyone?

(I hope that this is in the right place...)

Anywho. Any Nerdfighters taking part in NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, this year?

If you don't know what it is, NaNo is a little challenge founded by Chris Baty back in 1999. Your mission? Write 50,000 words in the month of November. It can be about whatever floats your boat, and there are only two rules: 1) Don't start writing before 12:00:00 AM on November 1st, and 2) You cannot partner up with another person and co-write something. Otherwise, you've got free range.

NaNo 2009 will be my third NaNo, seventh WriMo (Writing Month. As in, an event identical to NaNo, except it occurs in a different month), and I'm stoked for this year. If you're thinking about doing NaNo, I'd be glad to give you any advice you may need now or along the way in November. :)

But there's always lunch breaks and the end of the evening when you've got to wind down and travel time (for me at least, I take a train every day) etc. etc...; ▶ Reply to This

Say you're about five thousand words along on a project and want to keep working on it for NaNo. That's totally okay, as long as you don't include that original 5k in your word count.; ▶ Reply to This
