How I got introduced: My history teacher instructed my class to watch John Green's Crash Course videos... yadayadayada... so I started looking into nerdfightaria!

How I'm a nerd: Um... I didn't really know I was until someone told me that getting 90+ marks in all classes, being obsessed with starwars, finding science, history, and poli sci fun, etc, are nerdy traits. I've never been really involved in any sort of "nerd social groups" because I'm too awkward and.. uh.. nerdy? 

Tidbit about me: I am an amazing human being, and thoroughly I enjoy sarcasm. My goals in life include becoming a global dictator/creating a libertarian socialist society, depending on how I'm feeling about humanity at the time (how recently I've seen "Teen Mom") and confuse people by arbitrarily pretending to not be able to distinguish plants from humans.

umm hi???   well im new and im not sure whats going on but i know that i like it!!  my Roomie Iralyn showed me volg bros and i knew i needed to be involved. like most things she shows me i love it. my college sucks and i need more nerds around me!  i love dr who despite its flaws,and after reading enders games (and the next 3 books) i realized i LOVE science fiction.   i love awesome science and gaawd space!!! like its so crazy. there is a lunar eclipse tmrw night.  

so things i dont like..... DnD or other role playing games. chemistry and mine craft.

oh trust me i appreciate all that it does.  just dont expect me to stay awake during a lecture on it. but  shya! who doesn't love explosions!

Hi there. I'll attempt to do this properly because I suck majorly at autobiographies.

My name's Chaiyah, but most think it's too complicated so they go with Chai. I'm 18 and pursuing my bachelors in Psychology currently. I live in Trinidad and therefore lose myself in oceans.

It was recommended by a friend on an art site a few years ago that I read Looking for Alaska and it quickly escalated into my favorite book. From that moment I was completely taken by John Green's style and talent and so I started looking at the videos (my favorites are the Thoughts from Places series). 

I'm not sure I'm really any particular thing, nerd included. But maybe my ability to remember fine details from books and the fact that I practically live in bookstores, have discussions about all things psychology and literature and music related, watched Harry Potter till I was able to quote it word for word and actually use nerdfighter 'slang' might work (:

Ooh, an introductions thread!

Um, hi! I'm Emma, I'm 16 years old and I live in Scotland. I've been a Nerdfighter for a while but I ended up on this site thanks to a Nerdfighter friend of mine. Part of the reason I'm here is to keep an eye on her evil matchmaking plans, but that's a long story... I love Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Sherlock and John Green's books, among other things. I discovered Nerdfighters after hearing some Hank's songs and I'm really happy to be part of such and awesome community :)
