'Lo all!

I'm Linnea; I've been a Nerdfighter for around six months, but I've been a nerd for... Forever. :)

I'm from the Midwest, in the segment I most fondly call Stereotypical Small Town America, where everyone knows everyone, conservativism is a way of life for most inhabitants, and you'll see more corn fields than sidewalks. And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I love small towns. 

 

I'm a college student (enrolled today, actually; Mathematics and Computer Science Dual Major = WINNING! :D), attending a small university in my home state: Missouri. I'm an anime fan, but more than that, I'm really interested in student government and impacting this world for the better.

 

Can't wait to meet more people as I'm on here! DFTBA.

I'm Michelle, and I've been a nerdfighter since I got a copy of Looking for Alaska in my hands in October 2009. :) I didn't join the ning until now though. (If for whatever reason it helps you, I'm a bit of a Jane as opposed to an Alaska.)

I'm a freshman and I live in the Dallas area. I basically act and write and read and laugh. That's what I spend most of my time doing. I like good music and my kitty and going to the movies and soda. That's pretty much it. DFTBA!

I'm Sarah-Jane. I'm from Toronto. I just finished my final year of high school. I've been a nerdfighter since my friends got me to read Will Grayson, Will Grayson. (I'm not sure why I didn't join until now.)  My mom and dad are LOTR/Star Wars fans so, my nerdiness was inevitable. ;) I love reading and playing select video games (Kingdom Hearts is currently my favourite). Well, firstly, I'd like to thank my friend Jessie for introducing me to nerdfighteria. Without her, I would just be a lonely nerd, roaming the depths of the internet at odd hours like this. (Oh, why hello tomorrow, lovely to see you at this hour again. Come here often? Every night? Wow... me too!). 

 

Now then, about me. Well, I think I'm probably a pretty darn good fit for this group of awesome. I started my own non-profit at 14 to raise money for the education of former child soldiers in Uganda and it has since then grown immensely! I am super quirky and independent. In the fall I will be headed away from my lovely hippie town in Oregon to the Big Apple. I'm excited to be back on the East Coast. I love astronomy, reading, writing, international learning, music, sailing, martial arts, and being with friends. 

 

I can't wait to dive into the nerdfighter kingdom. <3 DFTBA!

Ok, so here goes..

I've just joined this website, but I've been a nerd for as long as I can remember :)

I'm from russia, obviously russian, so it kind of took me a long time to get to this website, I was too caught up being a nerd in my own country.

I spent a year in USA as an exchange student, which was an amazing experience and the most challenging thing in my 18 year old life so far.

I love reading books (any kind, as long as it's good. or even if it's bad cause then I get to leave witty comments in the book and give it to my friends to read).

I also am a huge fan of doctor who (actually, I watch quite a lot of tv shows, but doctor who seemed more appropriate here :D )

I am also a vegetarian, but not the kind that makes a big deal out of it.I really don't mind people eating meat in front of me, cooking something that has meat in it, cause I am perfectly capable of putting it aside. And I only mentioned that I am a vegetarian because I didn't know what else to write here and I felt like the more space my text was going to take, the more interesting I would seem, almost like I have a really cool and eventful life :D which I obviously do. or not.

So.. excuse me for making occasional mistakes while speaking/writing in english, but I figure it'll do with me being foreign and all that :) And I'm excited to meet new people!

Hi guys! I'm Liam.

So, I just finished watching all the videos in order. I really really enjoyed them so of course I have to join the various nerdfighter community sites! I'm 19 and I'm in college studying everything I can. I love to learn and read, I play bass guitar and other instruments too i guess but I think we all know that bass is the best instrument of all. I did my profile, you can go read it if you like. I guess I'm a nerd for various reasons. I guess it really depends on how you define what a nerd is. I get really enthusiastic about stuff other people usually think is boring, like neuroscience (and any science). I'm reading at any point that I'm not online. By the way I'm good at memorization but I have a terrible memory for things I wasn't trying to memorize which is interesting. I don't know what to say here that will make you understand what I'd like you to understand about me, and I suppose I have no right to force the understanding of who I am on you unless you want to know. In that case, feel free to contact me and I'm sure we'll learn to understand each other!

My name is Rebecca, and i came to be a nerdfighter mostly because of my boyfriend :P. He sent me some of the blogbrothers videos and got me the books Papertowns, Looking for Alaska and Will Grayson, Will Grayson for my birthday. So I have been a nerd for a really long time but just joined Nerdfighters a few days ago!

I live in Timmins, Ontario, and will be going into my last year of highschool in September (Finally!!) Sometimes I am quite shy and socially awkward and others I'm super outgoing and random haha it just depends on the situation. I aboslutly love to read- some of my favourites were Harry Potter, Brave New World, anything by James Rollins, James Patterson and John Green.. and so much more! I'm thinking about doing a dual major of Psychology and Criminology in University as my undergrad for law school .

I don't really know what else to say about myself, but i hope to make some nerdfighter friends (seeing as i don't personally know any!) so if you wanna talk or know anything else feel free to message me!

Hi, my name is Ally and I am officially identifying myself as a nerdfighter. For many moons, I have been striving to find a place on the internet where I can be amazing and find my place in that place. So, if you look at my page, you can figure out some basic stuff about me. But, here is a little bit more of an "overview of me."

 

Hi! I'm Ally. I'm 13, I have red hair and blue-green-gray eyes, depending on the day, and what I'm wearing. Mostly, they are a foggy blue-gray. Boy, this sounds like I'm writing a character description for a role-playing website. Anyway, my favorite color used to be black, but now it is blue-green-gray, but only certain types of blue, green, and gray. I have a cat named Rocky, short for Rocky Horror, and a dog named Nicky, short for Nicholas Claus. Both of them are boys. I used to play clarinet, but stopped because my school cut their band program. Stupid school and low-budget. I am 5' 7 and 1/2", and I guess you could say I'm a pretty simple person.

 

Now, what makes me a nerd, in my opinion, is that, everywhere I go, I try to think about ways to decrease the suck, if there is any in that area. If there is not any suck in that are, than I increase the awesome. So, pretty much, I'm your average nerd. But I don't wear glasses, or braces. Well, sometimes I wear real-D glasses with no lenses, and I just got my braces off yesterday. I spent much of this past school year in the computer lab, programming stuff into Windows Movie Maker to make it suck less, though I edit on iMovie '10, I think. I like to mix music on Garage Band, and edit photos on Picnik.com. And no, the irony in my profile picture is not intentional. When I figure out how to do so, I intend to share my work on my page.

 

Another little hobby of mine is collecting Breyer horses. Yup, I collect toy horses and am proud to say it. Horses are my absolute favorite animal, and l love to watch horse racing. I also like baseball, basketball, and hockey, and I can sit through football. I row crew for high school as well. I think I'm a likable person, and I'll probably like you, too, so why don't you hit that little reply button and introduce yourself to me, now that I've introduced myself to you?

 

So, congratulations if you read through that. Basically, if you like movie making, horses, sports, or are not a terrible person, I would love to talk to you and become an acquaintance, and maybe even a friend.
