Permalink Reply by Caitlin on April 9, 2012 at 4:16pm I'm reading The Wish Maker by Ali Sethi, and I just finished Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism by John Shelby Spong. I've just started TWM, but I like it, and Rescuing the Bible is a wonderful book that really helps open your eyes to how Christianity is not one monolithic thing.

Permalink Reply by Cara B on April 9, 2012 at 7:03pm Well, let's see. My name is Cara and I was introduced by a friend who told me about it and I became interested.
I have been a Theater/book nerd all my life. My dad is a pianist and a singer and I was involved in theater at a very early age and my mom is a major book nerd and I learned how to read pretty much before I learned to walk (well...not really...but something like that).
Later on, I became interested in cartoons and would watch them endlessly. My favorites have to be Sailor Moon (anime, but still a favorite), TMNT, and X-Men.
I love movies and the like, but at the moment my current obsession is Phantom of the Opera. I mean, I pore of that stuff. Fanfiction, I saw the musical when I turned 13, I own my favorite version of the movie (the 25th anniversary musical with Ramin as the Phantom). Just.... Ah. I think I annoy people with how much I love it.
I also love history. I've always loved history. It may be a weird thing to love, but I adore reading about history. Historical fiction is my favorite genre of books. And I watch countless documentaries on various historical times.
I don't want to make this too long...so I'm also a piano girl (been playing since 2003), a roleplayer, and I cosplay every year.
Um...yeah. So that's it. ^-^

i actually have threads on this, but which TMNT & X-Men?
Permalink Reply by Cara B on April 10, 2012 at 3:11pm Hahaha yes. 90s X-Men and I like both 80s and 2000s TMNT. However, I grew up on 2000s and also the live action movies. I haven't watched much of the 80s one because I don't know where to find it.
