your timing is your timing Sarah. welcome to the ning. so you said it's been a while, but do you remeber how you found them?
Yeah, I read Looking for Alaska and I wanted to see what other books John had written so I looked him up on Wikipedia and I saw something about Vlogbrothers; I've been watching since then!
nice. you ever get around to reading his other stuff?
Yeah, I've read all his books since then.
very nice. what did you think?
welcome Rebecca! how's the site treating you?
well this could turn into a conversation...or were you meaning on chat?
I've been watching the vlogbrothers' videos for awhile now and became vaguely aware of John's existence in high school when I worked at my local public library and often found myself shelving copies of 'Looking for Alaska' and 'An Abundance of Katherines', but I had never read any of his books until 'Will Grayson Will Grayson' because I really like David Levithan's books. Since finals are coming up and I'm procrastinating hardcore, I've been watching tons and tons of old vlogbrothers videos as a way to make up for lost time.
About me: I live in Western Massachusetts, but I'm originally from New Jersey. I'm a college student, studying comparative literature (specifically literature in Spanish and Portuguese, postcolonial literatures, and poetry). Someday I want to be a librarian. I love to bake, dance, sing, cook, and play rugby. My favorite TV shows are Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Arrested Development. I snort when I laugh.
welcome Sarah! hope finals go well (though, and i admit studying sucks, kinda necessary)
Hello, everyone! I'm new as well. I'm Katie. I was introduced to nerdfighteria by my little brother of all people. I live in a small town in Kansas going to a university studying mainly history. I'm really ready to get on with my life; I want to travel and have great adventures. I hope I can make some great friends here. :)
