I saw a quote from Looking for Alaska on tumblr and thought it was beautiful, so I immediately bought the book! I'm so glad I did read it, it's perfect and brilliant and I love it so, so much! :D

I just arrived here this week, prompted serendipitously on Esther Day (which I didn't know existed) by an old email from February that I just happened to read on Friday. Go Esther, working magic from the stars!

Anyway, I'd read TFIOS about two months ago and fell in love with those characters. And since I live in Indiana, I was excited that the book was set here (typical books set in Indiana paint everyone as total hicks). When I read mention of Bloomington, I think I actually whooped aloud (although I was puzzled at the idea that anyone in Indianapolis would refer to "up in bloomington" since here, I think "up in Indy")

I would totally love to thank and congratulate John and Hank for creating such an awesome community. I simultaneously want the whole world to know about it, and to keep it a secret. Awesome!

I'm Amy and I just joined. I was actually introduced through the olympics. There was a tweet with Pinches flashing the Nerdfighter sign and I looked it up. Then I noticed it popping up alot on Tumblr etc.Decided I had to find out more. Still getting my feet wet, and hoping to make some friends.
