Permalink Reply by Danno on March 9, 2012 at 6:47pm welcome Olivia. don't think anyone will mind that it was a process getting here. we'll all probably be glad you realized how great it is to just be you, not what pressure from school or your peers pushes you to (pretend to) become.
Permalink Reply by Amy on March 11, 2012 at 6:41pm Hi, I'm Amy.
I started watching Vlogbrothers in November and have been obsessed since! I also like other youtubers like Charlie McDonnell, Alex Day and WheezyWaiter. I'm a bit of a music nerd! I play trombone in a few of the school bands and teach myself xylophone. I like most music. From My Chemical Romance and Rise against to The Mountain Goats and Bright Eyes to Chameleon Circuit.
I'm not very good at maths but I find that Science, especially Chemistry, is really interesting.
That's just about everything I have to say!
Please don't eat me ^_^

Permalink Reply by Danno on March 11, 2012 at 9:09pm welcome Amy!
couple of things, you should never be ashamed of who you are...and (more to your last comment) everyone has an accent.
Permalink Reply by Ethan Taylor on March 11, 2012 at 9:56pm That's a good point. Also, whatever accent a person has often does not match their national identity. For example, I've lived in the American southeast my whole life, but I am often told that my accent matches that of a mid-westerner. An in terms of national heritage, I identify more as Irish than anything else, and I can't speak with an Irish accent even if I try.
I guess my point is that I'm thrilled that you are who you are, which is a conglomeration of numerous fascinating and awesome histories and backgrounds and stories, as well as all of your own experiences.
That and welcome to the Ning. :D
