Nerdfighters

Hey ladies, you know how in the month of November a bunch of the men celebrate a thing called No Shave November where they go an entire month without shaving? Well, now it’s our turn. For the whole month of November, we challenge you to wear no makeup whatsoever. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch. However, unlike No Shave November, No Makeup November has a deeper purpose. That purpose is to give us women a chance to learn to embrace our own, natural beauty and to focus on our inner beauty instead of hiding behind a mask of cosmetics. Makeup is a nice accessory, but we don’t need it to be beautiful!!!

Addendum: I have been asked by some friends to make an acceptation to this rule concerning stage make up. If you have to wear make up for theater and it is for a performance only and not to try and “make yerself look purdy” that’s not breaking the rules.

If you want to try it, please join my facebook group and invite your friends! http://www.facebook.com/editevent.php?info&eid=143294101299#/ev...

I never wear more than a bit of eye shadow (and mascara and stage make-up when I have to), but I'm in anyway! Other than the stage make-up. I'm in a show in November. This is a fantastic idea!
Yeah, I never wear make-up so this isn't a challenge for me :P But it's a great idea for girls to learn that it's perfectly fine not be covered in make-up 24/7. It's so pathetic when I'm in the locker room changing for practice, and other girls are straightning their hair with flat irons and putting on more make-up... 15 minutes before practice begins. It's just so pointless *sigh*
...i dont wear makeup anyway ^.^
me neither. ;)
I'll do it, it might be hard cause I always put a little bit of concealer on in the morning. I'm sure I will be able to do it! ^_^
I don't usually wear makeup anyway. I would tell my female friends, only they don't either...
Hmmm... I am going to think about it for awhile before deciding... I mean, I don't cover myself in make-up, but I am pretty used to having the "standard" amount on. Theoretically, I know this is a good idea, but on the other hand it helps make me feel more confident and "prettier."
You have another male supporter. Shallow jerks may want you to do all that to yourself to conform to what they want you to be... but how much effort (and let's face it, money!!!) do you want to put into making them happy? If you're in this ning I think most of the guys you like being around think pores encrusted with goop is ick. And also it is our responsibility to remind you of that so you don't feel alone in the Am I pretty enough? struggle.

Light enhancements around the eyes I enjoy, I admit, but if you want a month off I say stick it to the superficial knaves (was that Shakespearian enough to be an insult?). Make-up... and shoes too. Seriously, consider tacking on you'll only wear comfortable shoes in November too.

When I was in High School if a girl had gone to prom in a prom dress and Chucks I would have thought that was super hot.
I think this is a wonderful idea!!! I dont wear any makeup as it is because I believe in natural beauty anyways. Girls need to imbrace their true beauty and show who they really are. They need to be happy with themselves and not strive to please others.
I did this for lent last year and it was actually pretty refreshing not to wear makeup for a month. :D
&It helps to make you realize you're just as pretty without it.
No shave November is in support for prostate cancer. Thanks.
