This is my favorite book! I just joined today and its like fate that one of the current discussions just happens to be on my favorite book. wow
Nerdfighters know everything. lol
I'm glad you liked it.
I've just started reading it for my English 101, and I'm quite enjoying it. It took me a little while to get into it, but some of the things in the story just jump out at you.

"But it's the truth even if it didn't happen."
I absolutely love this book! I love the symbolism of the names and the biblical allegory and just the fact that he wrote such a great, meaningful book based on three pages he wrote while high on peyote. As for the movie, I like it, but when you switch from first person to third person, you lose so much of the meaning, particularly in this case because you don't get chief's thoughts and you can't see him changing.
I had to read this book because it was on our booklist. I watched the movie, though, and I thought it was awesome.
I never even knew there was a book.. Mostly due to my father's obsession with movies, and he tends to forget to tell me when there was a book first. Next time I see this book, I will definitely be picking it up, I loved the story!

The book was truly amazing, it only took me a week to read it, and that rarely happens anymore. When I first started reading it I thought it was about communism, because of the way Bromden discussed what he saw plus his hallucinations. I wasn't sure if their was something Kasey was trying to communicate to us though, I'm pretty sure there was but I just don't get it.

I thought it was especially interesting when you found out the Kasey actually subjected himself to electroshock therapy and LSD.

i am reading this for ap lit over the summer and i am soo excited to read it
