fist off thank your for taking the time and reading this forum. second. parents. its a fact that i spend too much time on this site. im not afraid of limiting that. but my parents are threatning to take away my computer because they dont like nerdfighters.com. they wont listen to my voice so maby they will listen you yours. so please please. in the replies below. convince my parents that this is not a bad place but in fact a good one. i need your help. i want an huge responce. please please please. make it spread like fire. make it huge. make my parents listen. thank you very much. and if your could please adress your replies to my parents that would be super duper helpful.revision, he now worries that i spend too much time here. help me. this decepicon is killing me

So here we can all talk about or same and different interestes and meet people. It's a very age friendsly place, there is way less cursing on here then any other online thing i know. He's only at risk if he puts himself at risk, so as long as he's aware of that, there shouldn't be an issue with him enjoying himself, and being part of this community. :); ▶ Reply to This

Plus, you don't have to give out any personal information. If you don't tell them where you live, your phone number, last name, etc, they can't find you. Also, Nerdfighters is a place filled with awesome people. If there is anyone bad on here, lots of the other Nerdfighters will protect you. Lots of Nerdfighters are kids themselves. We have moderators known as ningmasters as well. This is a pretty safe website and I think you should defiantely be allowed on. Also, it can be educational and informative!; ▶ Reply to This

After doing so, there should no longer be any problem with this site unless you are against intelligence, bright futures, and admittedly not getting enough sun.
Nerdfighters.com promotes high self esteem in all of it's inhabitants (DFTBA & DFYAA) and lets them know that they are not alone in having intelligence and stigmatized interests, and that we ought to be proud of that.
Nerdfighters.com promotes better spelling, grammar, and other skills that are noticeably lacking in our generation.
Nerdfighters.com promotes Shakespearean insults.
Nerdfighters.com fights against world suck by donating to charities around the world for a plethora of causes.
Nerdfighters.com has perhaps a misleading name, as no physical fighting has ever happened because of it. (Physical activities aren't our strong point; but we have remarkably acrobatic minds)
Nerdfighters.com promotes a healthy level of nonsense to keep those of us who know what's going on in the world sane.
Nerdfighters.com keeps us updated on political news from all over the world.
Nerdfighters.com is full of intelligent conversation, something that is very difficult to find on (and, indeed, outside of) the internet. (Seriously. Have you ever read youtube comments?)
And what other awesome community would work so hard to keep just one of it's members?

I have not observed any untoward behavior or suspicious chatter here. And frankly, if a pedophile were on the hunt, this is one of the last places he would come. As intelligent and outspoken as most of the members here are--whatever their age--such a person would make little headway, and probably be found out before too long. I can hardly imagine most of the discussions would be conducive to ensnaring a person's affections or trust.

That being said, this is a network for the dispossessed, so I understand the concern. Perhaps, instead of banning such a helpful and enjoyable site, your parents would consider reading along with you for a bit? Awkward, maybe, for a little while, but then they could see for themselves what a beneficial, safe, and open environment this is.; ▶ Reply to This

As far as I know there are more groups devoted to Tea drinking than anything that would be censored by any filter. 2.
