Pretty women trying too hard?

So lots of women in the world go above and beyond to stay fit, fashionable, and beautiful to society standards, so then they feel good about themselves, other women will be jealous, and - most important of all - their men will stay with them because they are hot.

 

however, due to break breakups of America's hotties, including Sandra Bullock and Eva Longoria, can it be questioned whether or not women are wasting our time.

It is a common idea that if women remain hot, then their boyfriends and husbands have no reason to leave men. However, if idiots will someone as hot as Longoria, then what hope is there for the rest of us?!

should women stop trying and hope that men will stay with them, flaw and all, or should they keep trying, even while stories like these hang in the air?

I suppose I should supplement that block of text by saying that I myself am somewhat vain. If I don't think a girl is cute, then chances are high that I probably won't date her. There are always exceptions, but for the most part, I'm a hypocrite.

However, once we're past the fragile stages of just getting to know each other, then I look forward to the day where she can be comfortable around me.  Nothing is more attractive than a woman in a tank top and sweat pants. I'm just sayin' ^_^

Don't worry, I'm the same way, I have to admit. Looks and brains have to be there in a guy. Once, I didn't even consider a guy because he didn't know how to spell several words that are used in everyday conversation.

I don't find myself like crazy attractive, and most days I don't even dress "cute" for school - just wear sweatpants and no makeup - but I have a need to make sure I have a hot bf whose smart, but not arrogant, and is open-minded and can freaking spell!

If your husband/boyfriend leaves you despite the fact that you wear makeup and "try", that means that you should just stop trying because everything that you do should be done in order to make him stay with you. Heaven forbid that you actually put on makeup / try to look good for reasons unrelated to your husband/boyfriend.

I really think it depends on both the personality of the woman and the man involved. Let's admit it, Sandra bullocks husband isn't the most reliable or loyal guy out there. Sometimes things just happen that not even beauty can fix.
I have seen plenty of couples where the girl wasn't a super model but they were as happy as can be.
