Nerdfighters

We all know that abortion is a huge debate topic. There is Pro-Life and Pro-Choice. But what if I want to be Pro-Situation? I mean, that makes sense does it? I don't want to say that if you get pregnant that you should have to keep the child or that you should always have a choice. So when ever anyone asks my what side I take on the abortion debate, I say Pro-Situation.

2-3 abortions in five years is really, really not a lot
so your basically saying that 2-3 human lives that have the chance to impact the world with their creativity and intelligence are really not much???
Bad argument. The chance to impact the world with their creativity and intelligence could be a bad impact or a good impact. I disagree with 2-3 abortions in five years not being that much, but that's because it's so easy to avoid in the first place.
its true that a person's impact could be good or bad, but that is undeterminable at the time of abortion. Those lives should be given the CHANCE.
What ethical justification do you have for drawing a situational divide? What ethical justification do you have for using the law to 'teach some couples a lesson'?
Protection of multiple unborn children is my guess, but even that doesn't pan out if they're for the use of contraceptives in place (as long as they work) of needing multiple abortions.
This has probably been brought up earlier, but what does Pro-Situation even mean?
I believe it means that a woman should be given the choice only in certain situations, but I can't be sure.
Like in what circumstances should the choice be withheld, and who decides what would be acceptable or not. Is there really a way to decide that?
"pro-situation" is pro-choice, wether or not you believe people should get them willy-nilly or for legitimate reasons.
i myself am COMPLETELY against abortion in any way, shape, or form. but, i still consider myself pro-choice. why you ask?
abortions will be performed regardless of the law and it's much safer to have a professional lay the baby to rest than try to kill it with a wire hanger, right?
so i sorta get the "pro-situation" thing, but i guess i'm more of a "pro-life-but-i-guess-if-you're-gunna-get-one-do-it-safely" person.

:)dftba.

Even when the pregnancy will kill the mother, and therefore the baby too? Because being against those abortions just seems silly.
Can you provide examples? If this really happened under wondergirl.'s conditions, it would probably come down to a special court decision requiring some basic conditions be fulfilled.
This is one of the best arguments I have ever heard for "pro-choice" and it applies to a lot of other laws as well.
What we really need to consider is whether we would allow parents to have the same right after the child is born.
