So, yesterday marked the end of yet another school year, and today marks the first full day of summer vacation. Well, for me. Then I have this cousin who still has 2 weeks to go, and my friend who got out 2 weeks ago. This doesn't seem like summer to me anymore...it just seems like a lot of wasted time. Then I got thinking...why waste it? I compiled a list of some goals...
-Read 50 books all consisting of at least 150 pages. (Ok, I can go through 3 of those a day. Let's make it 200.)
-Learn to play Jar Of Hearts on piano...that will be a challenge, as I do not currently own a piano.
-Learn ASL. Something I've been wanting to do for a while now, in an attempt to go half of a school year without speaking...which, won't happen, as then everybody else would have to...yeah.
-Leave behind 1,000 Operation Beautiful post-its all saying different things. 0 down, 1,000 to go! :D
-Have a goal that I'm 97% positive I will be unable to achieve this summer, and strive to achieve it as if my life depends on it... Well, that's obvious. Adopt a yearling filly from the BLM.
-Get my weight back down to 90 lbs using -non- harmful methods...as in, the opposite of harmful methods.
-Get a rat. Actually, 2 rats. I would name them Scabbers and Templeton, but local pet stores sell only females. So, Tina and Cinnamon it would be.
-Go veggie for the month of July.
-Take a totally random photo every day of the summer and write a poem to go with it. :)
-Get my ears re-pierced. And possibly my eyebrow...
-Say yes to every single question...even if it's like, 'Hey, wanna have sex?' or 'Want some milk?', because just because you say yes to something, doesn't mean you mean it. :)
-Get those purple contacts that do absolutely nothing to me but make my eyes look all purple and whatnot. :D
-Dye my hair redd. Yes. That's right, redd.
-Don't die. That's a really important one.
Do you have a list of unusual, strange, ridiculous, or totally normal summer goals? I'd love to steal your ideas and add on to my list! :D
:) Well, it's my Camp NaNo reward. But then I'll have something to do for the rest of the year!
Good luck with Camp! I'm doing it as well and its going awful. XD
Mine are pretty boring, but here ya go:
-Get an "A" in Eng. for summer semester
-Ombre my hair lavender
-Find a new job
-Finish five novels (doesn't seem like many, but I'm too busy)
-organize my room
-save money so I can move out!!!!
Five novels? Good luck with that!
Also, good luck with getting the "A".
-Read at least 100 pages everyday (My headmaster set this goal for the entire school). This shouldn't be a problem considering that I LOVE to read.
-Run everyday, in other words get in shape
-Do something to brighten someone else's day every day
-start a new art piece, and FINISH it (I have a hard time finishing anything that isn't a book)
-Watch every movie on my list of documentaries
-get caught up on all of my TV series
-Have an epic dance party... by myself, because those are the best kind
-finish painting my closet
-walk my dogs every day
My list is pretty simple (and of course, Don't die)
One of my main summer goals has been to vlog more. Maybe get a few more viewers. I have a new video up today, I'd really like if anyone would care to watch! It's just a song, no biggie. Just if you want to. Thanks. :) http://youtu.be/96zTPvghU-4
That's amazing ;) I wish I could sing...okay, well, sing well. xD
But, like, real goals-wise, besides doing vlogs more often, I'd really like to post more songs. I'm always writing them but I'm usually too afraid to put them up. That stops now!
Also I have to buy and pack all of the stuff I need for college. I'm going to USC in the fall and I have to move all of my stuff in a toyota from AZ, so that's gonna be fun.
I'm also gonna read at least three books this summer, and one of them is gonna be Catcher in the Rye. I've always wanted to read it but have just never gotten around to it, and I missed that chapter of the Blurbing Book Club.
I think that's it for my goals for this summer! Not too crazy!
BLM filly... do want!
My goals are to paint more, write my first fanfic, and to read more realistic fiction. I like to keep things simple. ^_^
You're like my twin, there are so many of these I feel totally the same about. I started learning ASL, so I know a little bit. I've planted some things similar to Operation Beautiful notes, and I want to do more! Sometimes I leave random notes on cars when I'm running errands. And of course, I always leave a NFNote when I'm in Barnes & Noble.
And I used to want a rat. And I want to dye my hair red. :D I have a list I call the Ultimate Accomplishments of Awesome List that I make every year, and I try to get as many things Accomplished as possible!
It's like twinsical (a word full of epic, it's humanly impossible to deny that fact) magic :D lol. That, is a wonderfully wonderful name for your list xD
-Learn 1,000 new Arabic words, I want to shock my Saudi friends when they come back in the fall :)
-Read 75 books (20 done already, this might go up)
-Go to at least 2 Taekwondo classes per week and play soccer at least once a week (Basically working on the in shape thing, but I hate running just to run)
-Write actual, handwritten letters to my friends at camp.
-Stop drinking pop, get off caffeine
-Get caught up with watching One Piece
-Learn Bach's Partita in A minor for flute
-Don't die, don't let the kids I nanny die
