Ridiculous School Mascots?

ive heard of some pretty weird mascots and id love to hear other people's

my school is the rough riders
my cousin's school was the escanaba eskimos
i always thought its weird having a race as a mascot
like "go asians!"
and my dream college is the trojans

My school before that was badgers
and the one before that were the conquistadors

In high school we were the warriors, but really our mascot was grover (you know the blue puppet!) because the school was grover cleveland HS. We even had a grover suit!

Now in College, the mascot is Prarie Fire. Yeah, that's right... fire... of the prarie. It's really strange!

My old middle school mascot was a "trailblazer."
It was a cream colored horse with a fire mane/tail and anything it galloped on turned to flame.
Just picture a ponyta, really. XD

w00t my school's mascot is the midget! it kinda vacuums being really short in a town whose mascot is a midget. our picture is a wrestler flexing his arms and legs. ya. w00.

My school mascot is the Warriors. We call the canyon our campus is in Warrior Country. But the mascot is an indian warrior, which is politically incorrect especially since the native americans from our area were peaceful and not really warriors, so they've taken all the logos of the warrior away and now our logo is a W with an arrow through it. Lame.

My middle school was the cougars.

My elementary school was the rabbits. Which makes more sense than the cougars because we were Conejo Elementary.

My dad's high school was the Diablos.

UC Santa Cruz is the banana slugs.

we are the "Crushers" because I live in Napa. LOL GRAPE JOKES.

Basically, it's a large Hispanic looking mask head thing with a giant cleft chin. it scares the crap out of me

At one of my elementary schools we had Louie and Louise the Leaf (maple to be specific). Yup.

My school mascot is a gryphon.
I had a debate with some friends last summer about the lamest school mascots and gryphon came in third.
Tornado (just a spiral of wind, as my friend said) came in second.
And in first place, moose.

Next year I'm going to a brand new school and we voted on mascots.
One choice was clipper. Yeah as in a clipper ship.
I voted for it. No one else did. :(

There's no 'it's so unexpected/surreal it's wonderful' element.

Holy cow! Our elementary school is the "Lightning (see below)!" How funny! Lightning strikes trees all the time. We'd be awesome rivals!
