I want to take this opportunity to apologize for the frustration I have brought to the Ning, especially in light of my general philosophy, which is that we should all accept one another and be compassionate.
So, I thought you all might be interested in a little survey.
The best part about this thread: No one has to argue.
This particular survey is one that you have to fill out in the application process to a Ning called The Smart Life...for members of MENSA. Needless to say I'm not getting in, so I can't tell you exactly what all of this means, but I thought they were very interesting questions and I wanted to share them with you.

(Note: this survey is edited due to time constraints/content. I've kept the most interesting things while throwing out such trivialities as "favorite cocktail".)

Family situation growing up: My parents divorced when I was seven and my dad is remarried.
Political leanings: I don't think any side is perfect, and I'm not sure what I am, but after I told my friends some of my views, they determined I was a liberal.
Spirituality: I believe there's something out there and we go somewhere after we die, but currently, iI'm very unsure of who and where.
Favorite Color: I'm going to say blue, but every color has a place in my life. : )

Pet Peeves: Homophobes, self-righteous people, excessively filthy places, when people have food on their face, when people ignore others, and when my mom gets angry at me for sneezing, coughing, or hiccuping.

Spirituality: By the dictionary definition, I'm an atheist, but so many atheists have been getting on my nerves latetly because they won't acknowledge how androcentric and white-centered the secularist movement it, I want to find another word to call myself.

Pet Peeves: My number one pet peeve is when people make stupid prejudiced contradictory statements like "I'm not sexist, I just believe all women do x." "I'm not racist, I just find black people intimidating." "I'm not heterosexist, I just think gay guys are creepy." It is bad your an x-ist, but I can at least deal with your existance if you'll admit it. Denying it is just...stupid.
