TED Talks

So, I don't know if you have ever heard of TED Talks, but it is an organization who's mission is to spread ideas. They do this mostly through videos on their site, http://www.ted.com/. There's some pretty interesting stuff.

Anyways, I was watching a video for my class and it made me think of nerdfighteria. This man, Ze Frank, discusses human connections and the internet.The description the site gives is, "On the web, a new "Friend" may be just a click away, but true connection is harder to find and express. Ze Frank presents a medley of zany Internet toys that require deep participation -- and reward it with something more nourishing. You're invited, if you promise you'll share."

It's kind of long, but definitely worth watching.

Was it this week that John said he never blinks in his videos as a homage to Ze...or was that in a really old video that I just watched. Anyway, there's definitely a connection. And how AWESOME is out that John and Hank have done/are doing precisely what Ze was bemoaning: creating an ACTUAL, intimate community online?!

TED talks are great.  Though I usually prefer the scientific talks, like those done by Brian Green and Brian Cox.

I love the diversity of talks and I find that even topics that seem far out of my interests have something fascinating about them. I'm such a TED nerd that I became a TEDx organizer. HUGE fun (and huge responsibility...glad we have an amazing team to work on it!).

I love TED talks. There is a Ted Talk out their for everyone and for everything. :) My work dose a monthly Ted Talk! I think it is a wonderful tool that makes you really think. :) I'm glad that I am not the only won who is into this! They also have a lot of Ted Talks on Next Flix now! Yah! One of my favorite TED Talks is called Everday Leadership by: Drew Dudley. He talks about lolipop moments. Check it out!
