Nerdfighters

So many of you probably already heard, but there is a museum that people are trying to build in Tesla's old lab to honor all the amazing things he gave us.  The land is up for sale, and the state of New York has offered a matching grant to help, but the land costs A LOT of money and also there is another bidder trying to get the land for a 'retail development.'  (read: shopping mall....)  ANNNNYWAY, why does all this matter and/or what can you as an individual do about it?!?  Well, there is an indiegogo campaign that has been started to help raise the money, and if you donate you get cool stuff!

Here is the link to the Oatmeal talking about the lab and his involvement:  The Oatmeal: Tesla Museum

And here is the link to the indiegogo page to donate or find out more specifics and what not:  Donate now! :D

We still have 45 days kids!  Lets decrease world suck and honor a REALLY INCREDIBLE MAN!

The Indiegogo page has only been going since earlier today and already the donations amount to $99,914.  PEOPLE WE'RE ALREADY ALMOST TO 100,000 DOLLARS!!!!!!  We just need to do this 7 more times and then we will have a TESLA MUSEUM!!!!!  Tell everyone!  Call your local paper!  Spread the word!  A Tesla Museum must happen!  :D

$111,197 in less than 200 minutes!  We can do this!  Tesla needs us, he doesn't have a museum.  But he deserves one!!!!  :D

I love the internet.  I found this yesterday when it was at like 45k and by the time I was done with the donation process it was at over 100k.  And this morning it's over 300k already.  This WILL be built, and I wouldn't be surprised if they went way over their goal and could actually start the process really soon.  Hooray for nerds!

Hooray for nerds indeed!

I'm so glad this was already posted. Cause I was gonna post it if it wasn't.
