The Best Excuse Ever

So, I'm pretty terrible with excuses. I guess that could be seen as a good thing, depending on how the rest of my life works out. Who knows? One day I could be kidnapped by an evil gameshow host who wants to make me a brainwashed contestant on a crazy parody of "Wheel of Fortune", and my only way out would be by giving him a really good excuse. (yeah...) So I've decided to plan ahead. My question to all is "What was the best excuse you've ever given?" If you want, explain the situation and context in which the excuse was used. (You can also make up an excuse for not having ever used an excuse before, or not wanting to. Be as creative as you want!)

I had to get out of going to a really lame party. The only other people that were going to be there were the Birthday Girl's boyfriend and sister. So I told her I got called in to work. And she who can usually catch me lying, believed me.

A friend of mine asked for a day off of work and all he said was it was for "A.P.P.L.E.S." I still have no idea what this means. Neither did his boss, but they gave him that day off, no questions asked.

In Chemistry last year, we had to make a three dimensional paper ball describing an element. I told my chem teacher I stepped on the ice outside and my ball fell in the snow, got soggy, and was ruined. I also used this on a AP European history binder assignment.

Allergies are a god catch-all for getting out of class, and I also get to say I'm dizzy to get out of something because I need to get my prescription changed on my glasses.

As they say, a good girl is just a bad girl who doesn't get caught.

I'm pretty horrible at lying. Two excuses stick out in my mind. Once, I called in late to work because tornado warnings were going off, and I didn't want to leave until they ceased. Another time I passed out and when I woke up, it was when I had to be at work, so I had to explain what happened...
I'm also not the most punctual person. I'll just say "sorry" if it's for a deadline, or if I'm late to be somewhere, it's because I didn't set my leave alarm. I have to use alarms for everything. :/
