The Daily Nerdfighters (A Collab)

The Daily Nerdfighters is a recently proposed video collab channel.

Suggested Collab Rules:

*Every day of the week, there is a different vlogger who posts a video. The videos are restricted to Brotherhood 2.0 lengths (<4 minutes). Going over the time limits are punishable, with punishment severity being reliant on how severe the offense (for example if a video is over by 30 seconds, the punishment will be less than if it was over by four or five minutes)
*Missing a day due to anything other than severe illness, death in the family, or holiday is also punishable! Your punishment will be more challenging than usual.
*Every week we will vote on a general question or theme to be discussed (though it doesn't have to be the entire content of your vlog). Possible themes to use:
~Your favorite fandom and how it has impacted your life (books, movies, television, Vlogbrothers, anything!)
~The one book you would bring to a deserted island and why
~An unpopular opinion that you have and its defense (can be related to fandom, religion, science, anything!)
*Every week there is also an optional challenge. Challenges are picked by one vlogger a week depending on days (first week, Monday will challenge; second week, Tuesday and so on) and the challenge video will be posted on Sundays.

*Challenge response videos should be posted on Saturdays. Challenge videos are not
*If you create a challenge, you should have an inexpensive prize (maybe some stickers a funny/random card, or even some neat buttons) that can be mailed to the challenge winner(s) in an envelope. That's why challenges are optional to do and to participate in.

Sounds good to me, but I have to confess I will probably never create a challenge or participate in one because no matter if it's sending a prize or receiving a prize that is going to be way to expensive.

And we should make some sort of intro, that would be totally jokes! :D

Edit: And also because of probably severe time zone difference my day is over a couple of hours before yours so I'll be logging off for the day. I'll check up on this thread again tomorrow. Until then I bid you adieu! (And I'll probably go looking for a good camera tomorrow.)

I'm totally not a pro at editing, but I think making an intro would be excellent! And for the record, I'll pay to ship you whatever bauble if you do my challenge(s). :) S'only fair!

I also checked up on cameras today, if I buy the one I think I'll buy all my money will be gone with it and I'll be a poor little nerdfighter but then I will also have a good camera to use for my schoolproject and this collabproject. (Can you hear my inner conflict? XD) Anyway the shop said they'll check up on some cameras to see if they can find something cheaper but still good for me and that they will call me. :3

I can probably "steal" my mothers camera for the meantime and yes I have the most free time on Mondays. When was it that we would start recording? Because if it's this Monday I might have to use my mothers camera and is it the next Monday I might have my own.

I would also sort of need a way to upload the video XD The first videos are just going to be us introducing ourselves to each other right? Just want to make sure because if I have Monday then I'll be the first one to make a video o.o

I think the sooner the better, so I'd like to start on Monday (26 September). c:

Don't worry. I think after we get all the other random details figured out (make sure you go to the bottom of the thread and look at that! your opinion is needed ;D) we'll probably talk about what our intros will contain. And then after that we'll hopefully start doing some general themes for the week.

Are we going to make separate intros? And how will the themes be picked? Because if the theme is picked on Tuesday I won't have an opinion on it until the week after and that just makes it feel like I'm a little behind. Will someone make a video on a Saturday/Sunday announcing a theme?

We'll pick the themes on the weekends so everyone has the same chance to vote on it. :) I'll make sure that everyone is always up to speed on that.

I really want everyone to be equally involved. Even though I'm doing most of the talking right now, it's just because I'm online practically all the time! When the collab starts proper, we'll all get a say in who does what when where why how, etc.

Does anyone have an idea on how we could vote for themes (a website that hosts polls or something like that could be a good idea)?

Okay, awesome. And we can all add a few themes we're hoping to discuss somewhere in our videos. On the weekend, we'll compile those five themes and pick from those (Because, who knows? Maybe we'll prefer someone else's to our own! :3)... If there's a tie, we'll let the person who didn't choose either theme pick which one. If it's a five-way tie maybe we should just vote again lol
