The Guide to Nerdfighting (A Book?)

So, in a recent BlogTV show. Someone asked John if he would write a book that is a Guide to Nerdfighting. He said that, since he didn't create nerdfighter's he wouldn't fell right making the book. And, he obviously should continue working on the Paper Towns screen play, vlogging, and writing his novels.
So, I thought we should try making our own Guide to Nerdfighting!

hmm maybe a could be nice long list of silly (cute) rules to being a nerd fighter. (just so it would be entertaining)

I think maybe, instead of a guide to nerdfighting, that we should have a book.
A book of quotes, descriptions of inside jokes, and advice from nerdfighters when it comes to all sorts of topics.
That would be fun.
Everyone on the ning could collaboratively write advice :3

Sort of like just a general Nerdfighting Book then? Like the "Nerdfighter's Bible"... except I don't think that would be the best title. xD But yes, I like your idea.

Yeah something of that sort. XD Yeah the Nerdfighter's Bible is not the best name but there are books called the "Sex bible" which is a considerably worse name.

I like the chicken soup-type thing idea. There are many of us Nerdfighters who enjoy writing, so it would be easy to get a somewhat large compilation. There should definitely be an index-to-sayings in the back, too. I really like this idea!

From what you all are suggesting, wouldn't it be the the nerdfigher wiki page..but in book form?

Not exactly. The thing that would separate the book is that the book would be a group of definitions, but each definition comes with the story written by a Nerdfighter... Or that's the idea that most people support right now anyway. The Wiki is more of an encyclopedia. The book would be an encyclopedia crossed with a Chicken Soup thing.

So I've contacted the girl who started this thread last month and I'm seeing if she's ok with me creating a forum or Ning page or something to organize this. I'm really excited!

EDIT: On second thought, do you think it would be enough to just have a Group within the Nerdfighters Ning, or would we need our own page?

okay so this was like so awesome. Pretend that period is an exclamation mark since my exclamation mark key doesn't work. I was just thinking I was going to go write a short story that had something to do with nerdfighters because I was bored. Then I get on the ning and I see this page. YAY so I would love to write a short story for this fictional book so it will not be fictional anymore. I think I might start a group about it if no one else has. The only problem is I suck at grammer and spelling so if theyre are any grammer nerdfighters out there who wouldn't mind editing my story for me I would really appreciate it.

First of all, I feel so bad for you for not having a working exclamation point. That must be horrible. :(

Second of all, I'm planning one either starting a group or a separate forum for this once the creator of the thread gets back to me. I thought it would be most fair to make sure she's ok with us starting something, since it was her original idea. :)
