I just got a great idea...
Well, I thought it was great...

Okay, so I'm on Skype with Katie the Ningmaster and a few others. I asked one of them who'd just entered the chat how they were and he said "I'm well. Also hungry. How are you?" And I said "I'm hungry and well, too. Let's meet up at IHOP, cha?"

And then we started wishing that we lived closer together so we could do stuff like that. Someone said we should all move to Chicago and call it Nerdfighter Town. That's great and all, but because you're writing a book on deserted islands... all the Nerdfighters should pitch together money so we can buy a deserted island and then you could use it for research and it could be named Nerdfighteria and then we could all live there and it would be made of awesome... I'm like extremely excited about this. Hence the run-on sentence. Let me know what you think!

C'mon Nerdfighters. How bloody cool would that be if we actually did that? I know it'd take time and effort. Some of us might even die out before it comes real. But I'm incredibly enthusiastic that it can happen. If you believe it can happen, then it can. What do you say? Want to make it real? Yeah? No? Thoughts?

Think of it... What started as a yearlong project between brothers turns into a web sensation, turns into a worldwide community, turns into an actual place you can visit.

Please don't be mean to me... I only had a dream.

Well whatever you do, don't try to build your own island; I heard that Dubai's man-made islands are sinking.

Though that may not be true, it's still a great worry and it would just be sad for Nerdfighteria to sink.

I actually psoted a thread on the forums about a nerd fighter island only to my astonishment that they already have a goverment

I think you#re going about this compeltely the wrong way, we aren't the biggest collective group of millionaires ever, but we may be the biggest ever group of nerd brain-power. We should MAKE an island! something that has supports that dig right down into the ocean floor, unbreakable ones that can be proggrammed to reduce the effect of earthquakes on the island and also can raise the island up and down as global warming occured. If needed the island can be movable although that would be difficult... I'm sure buying some land in the middle of the ocean would be pretty cheap, what country's gonna want that?

The benefits of a constructed island is that we can build pipes leading to every house so post is uneeded, instead, stick a letter or an object in the slot in your house and programme where you want it to go and it'll be there in less than 24 hours once it's scanned through the main hub in the centre of the island. Hank and John will obviously be the founding fathers so their faces will be on our money "Awesomes" is of course the currency.

As to what the island is made out of and how we embed soil into the ground to enable plants and animals to live & grow, why that's up to a group of nerdfighters smarter than I. I'm sure it can be done...

Sorry, but our research has suggested that building an island is neither as cost or time effective as purchasing one and John and Hank are strangely not founding fathers of the island, although they are founding fathers of Nerdfighting in general.
