Nerdfighters

The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Ive read it an unreasonable amount of times and think Charlie's letters are humorous, tragic, upsetting and lovely all in one. He also has a remarkable taste in music. read all the songs listed in that book. Pages 61-62 my friend. Listen to them. They are simply beautiful.I swear i could see a photo montage building up in my head with every one.

possible spoilers follow. so recently read it...finally. don't get me wrong, it was good. i think i got my expectations up too high though, specifically in terms of relating to the character. while having a disturbed individual narrate the story is a great device, and there's some real truth to the whole thing (at least from what i'm given to understand) it disappointed me. like, you can't have the main character simply be a wallflower, because it's his natural wiring. nope. has to be crazy. and it has to stem from abuse.
speaking of crazy, does anyone know any good critical analysis of the book, or have some of their own...particularly addressing Charlie comp/vs Michael, comp/vs Patrick's ex... Michael's death and his Aunt's and while we're on the subject of crazy, what have people made of Charlie calling a girl crazy in the opening chapter?
