The World's Dependence of Non-Renewable Resources

Having a school project now, were I am keeping a blog were I will post about the world's dependence on non-renewable resources.
Only a few small fact posts and though there atm, but more to come.

you know what amazes me? that the planet has not yet collapsed from all the holes we leave. the inside must be like a swiss cheese [ emmentaler ] .

at least mountaintop mining and tarsand oil does not leave holes inside the earth.

all i am going to say is that if it is not grown it must be mined

i am a hobby miner in British Columbia Canada and you would not believe the flack i get for building a 2 and a half meter wide hole in a mountain side, in the tree line, hidden away, no heavy equipment. people where i live have forgotten that without the small scale mining that my self and many others have done we would not have a town.
