Nerdfighters

I am a member of my thespian society at school and we have been offered an amazing opportunity. We have been invited to Fringe Fest. For those of you who do not know what that is, it's an incredible performing arts festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our only problem is that it's very expensive, and we need to do a lot of fundraising. If anyone has any fundraising ideas or just wants to donate (no pressure at all) post here or leave me a personal message.

Thank you so much!

I'm bad at ideas for fundraising, try the old school bake sales or car washes. Maybe a dinner theatre night? Those are things my group does for money! I wish we could get invited to something like that!

I like this idea. You could do a lot of little one-acts or small monologues so you all wouldn't have to remember too much - and maybe make the dinner somewhat of a potluck thing; have the dinner be included in the price with the show and have the bake sale mixed in with the idea by having certain foods included with the dinner but charge for desserts or "premium" dishes of food, perhaps.

There's also always the buy-the-big-box-of-candy-bars-at-BJ's/Costco/Sam's Club and re-sell them for a profit.

Also, do any of your fellow thespians play [an] instrument(s)? If so, you could also hold mini-concerts or take up momentary street-performing. Heck, you could probably do monologues street performing - but be careful with that because in some cities you need a license to do such things.

Oh yah, my Drama Club sells candy like that to people. We make quite a bit from it actually!
