There are a few zombie books coming out this year: The Forests of Hands and Teeth, Zombie Queen of Newbury High, and You Are So Undead to Me. The Forests of Hands and Teeth sounds especially good. And I can think of a few that are already out: Generation Dead, Soulless, and Zombie Blondes.

I have done searches on zombie books, as you might be able to tell.

Generation Dead is a really good book. Strange and sinister but really interesting. good book if you like zombie things or just if you like reading to tell you the truth. I'm not so much into zombies but I enjoyed it alot.

the first book could be called Breaking Ground with the cover a picture of a hand coming out of a grave

zombies kick ass, but zombie comics are better than zombie books. have you ever read 'the divine hammer?' it wasn't all about zombies but it did have some pretty good zombie bashing scenes....it was part of the dragonlance series.....

Have you read the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix? It's got necromancers and living dead and all that cool stuff in it. It's one of my favorites!

Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. It is too awesome for words.

Same here, Zombies are way better than Vampires. And it's the same deal with Vampires, " ah I love you but we can never be I am immortal and I feast on blood." "but no if you really love me you won't bite me blah blah". Ugh enough is enough! To hell with you Twilight and the other books like you!

it seems to me that it would be REALLY hard to write a good zombie story, unless it was somebody else that could talk...or even think, for that matter...telling the story. zombies can't really talk...especially since all of their tongue is one of the things decomposing, making it kind of difficult to make noise without sounding like your mouth is full of food.
werewolves are AWESOME though. Blood and Chocolate was really good.

For werewolves (or werewolf hunters) there's a new series called Skinners by Marcus Pelegrimas.
