Rather than go into a long winded rant about how the ningmasters make me want to find a dolphin and punch it in the mouth, I think for now I'll simply ask a question and see how you all respond. 

So, do you think that as a community nerdfighters.com is capable of regulating itself and our only need for moderators is to remove spammers, or do you feel that we need a group of babysitters to hold our hands and make sure we all play nice with the other kids?

Although I'm rather new to the forums I have previously been a member of several others. Yes, to an extent, Ningmaster's should be able to "moderate" what we say and do. No I am not saying they should stop us from expressing our opinions but there are certain things that they should be able to control and stop. For example, if someone were to post extremely violent or pornographic images. The Ning would need to be able to ban this person and remove the images. However this is a very extreme circumstance.

I have not yet encountered the Ning but I am sure that once I do I will likely feel the same way I do about the police officer's who stop me for wearing the wrong shirt. Make me want to punch a Koala.

The thought of a democracy is ridiculous, Xaiylia and you know it. Having a popularity contest between a select few regulars would make for a worse situation. Not to mention people voting, when they probably would only know like 10% of the people wanting to run for ningmaster. Also, the thought of a ningmaster 'campaign" is a preposterous hypothesis.

I agree on selecting Ningmasters through voting. Though having a vote to see how pepole feel might be a good idea, as long as it's clear it's not an actual election and that the Green brothers can choose to completely ignore it if they like to.

You note the application blogs are open to the public. Voters can read those blogs as easily as Ningmaster Tom or John and Hank can, and they have the added advantage of being forum users who know what they desire. I've already posted on this matter.

I agree. As well with this outlook on this website, the whole hold our hands and all that. Live with it. Or don't. Nobody would look down on you or really be bothered if you stopped coming onto the website because of a group of mediators that are here only to make this domain a happy and feel good energy. If they are being a problem for no reason then get mad and email hank Green. But if they are not then move on with your life, goodness.
