Unexpected Favorites

Have you ever been forced into something, or just randomly tried something that you were sure you wouldn't like and were proved wrong? I think its really interesting how this happens, so post your stories bellow:

Also, I never expected to enjoy books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (Author Demon In My View, and my personal favorite Hawksong)
It just so turns out that my favorite food of all time is Pesto, which I NEVER even wanted to try!

Then in my senior year of high school I dropped band because our conducter was a jerk and to spite him I took AP Biology instead. (he wasn't happy about that, heehee) To my surprise, I found the class to be so much fun and so intriguing that I wanted to learn more and decided to pursue a career in biology.; ▶ Reply to This

(I get my AP results in July :P) Although I didn't expect to hate it (and I didn't do it out of spite, lol) I certainly didn't expect it to be tied as the best class I have ever taken! Having stupid teachers makes me feel like I'm not learning anything, and being forced to be around that many people (that many distasteful people) for 180 days a year... lets just say its not as fun as a barrel of monkeys :P Still for some reason I don't understand I still get a ridiculously high GPA... its kinda stupid if you think about it; ▶ Reply to This
