I have been Nerdfightery for quite some time, but it took Need to finally drive me to the Ning. I need your help with something silly, bookish, and YouTubey (you can see why my first thought was "Nerdfighters!")
Basically: Does anyone fancy / is able to video themselves saying a few sentences as an eye witness to seeing the Angel of Death riding a bicycle through New York city?
... yes. Really.
The reason for this is that the small publisher I work for is doing a fun lil this this weekend. We've got a guy dressed a death cycling around New York, and if you catch him, you get a holiday to the Bahamas. So we're doing bunch of 'eye witness statements' as a giggle, to raise awareness.
If you think you'd be up for it, page me / message me / reply to this post / message via smoke signal, and I'll invite you to the dropbox for submitting clips. Everyone who helps will have their name (and URL of choice) listed in the video description and in a thank you on the publisher's site. You can either make something up based on the details below, or ask me and I'll write you a little 3-4 sentence script. Thanks a lot!
The Angel of Death has quit his job and is attempting to go on holiday. He took a flight from London Heathrow to JFK New York, where he was meant to transfer onto a flight for the Bahamas, but got kicked off the plane. Last seen wearing a floor-length hooded purple cloak, riding a peddle cycle around new York city.
Would I be able to do this and then my own little video? I'm doing VEDY and wouldn't want to just do that little 30 second piece. I could do it on its own if it needs to be, no problem, I was just wondering if you could specifically edit that part out of the video I send you?
Sure :) The video's all finished now and being uploaded, but we'd love it if you made you own, and would link it from the site! If you include a clip of Dead on a bicycle, you'd actually be in the competition to win a holiday. All the details are here: http://curiosityquills.com/catch-your-death-and-win-a-trip-to-the-b...
For anyone curious how this ended up - here's the end result. Oof, turning a project around in a day hurts my brain.
