Vulcan Salute

So I was reading up on Spock to ease my post-Spock-death-depression when I saw that the vulcan hand salute comes from a Jewish hand symbol. This is awesome, because I am a former Jew and still love the culture, etc. Also, Leonard Nimoy is Jewish. Does anyone know any other cool facts like that?

OMG I cried like a baby, it kinda went like this:
*sob* WTF why am I crying! *sob* like really! "...shall always be my friend" *sobs harder* "...most human" *dies*
And then again when they showed the clip in Search for Spock. Then I almost started crying in Voyage Home, but that is just because that movie is so terrible.

I will. I'm watching thru all of star trek chronologically. I'm on TNG right now, hafta get the disc from netflix. I might skip TNG if it's not good, there's no nimoy/spock, I don't think.

Hmmm... Also tell me if you like TNG. I'm thinking about giving it a try myself. I know Hank at least loves it, so perhaps I will too.

As soon as i can find the Truman show disc my brother got 3 months ago and subsequently lost Dx

So far, the pilot is okay, a lil too overwrought for me. I am just watching it online.

Okay, now it just got interesting. But no spock= no hotness. I mean, the closest thing is Data, and he's a friggin albino android.

Well, the pilot failed to impress, but it does seem like it has potential for a good show. I have to hand it to the baldy who plays Picard, and most definitely the woman who senses emotions, who is oddly enough in a green uniform?
I may also be watching this just because Wil Wheaton is in it, but right now he's just a little boy and hasn't joined starfleet, etc.
