So, what books are people reading right now? What are they about? What do you think of them? Would you recommend them?
I tend to read two or three books at a time. Currently, I'm making my way through the following:
I only just started Ishmael, but The Omnivore's Dilemma is very good.

I have read the whole series before and really like it. I actually borrowed an electronic copy of the first five books in this series from my library, so I get to enjoy them all again. The library doesn't have an electronic copy of the sixth book (though they do have the audio version) so I'll have to see about getting that one later.
Permalink Reply by Eliza Gkritsi on May 13, 2012 at 7:55pm I am reading (for the 5th or so time) TFiOS. I don't think I have enjoyed a book so much in my life
I am also reading a book by Jean-Paul Sartre -a 20th century existentialist French philosopher- called "What is Literature?" which is very pretentious but also very interesting.
And, finally, this AMAZING book by a Greek writer called "The Number 31328" which I recommend to anyone out there who happens to be breathing!
Permalink Reply by Kristi Marie Winters on May 14, 2012 at 6:02am I just started Daughter if Smoke and Bones by Laini Taylor. It's about a girl who's a little strange. Her hair is blue, naturally, she speaks inhuman languages, and draws monsters that may or may not be real. I think it's going to be fantasic.
I just finished Will Grayson, Will Grayson. I suggest you read it.
Gay Will Grayson meets straight Will Grayson at a porn shop. It's just... Wow. If you haven't read it, read it. It's marvelous and full of "fabulousness"
Permalink Reply by citlalli on May 14, 2012 at 3:14pm I am currently reading Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey. It's pretty awesome.
Permalink Reply by Night Sky on May 19, 2012 at 5:41am I just finished Johnatan S. Foer - Extremely loud and incredibly close. I loved it. I am deciding on what to read next and if I should read more of Foers books.
Permalink Reply by Stephanie Vern on May 20, 2012 at 2:22pm Foer is great, definitely read more. My favorite from him is Everything is Illuminated. It's a bit confusing at first, because it's told in a lot of different parts, by at least 3 different people that I can remember off the top of my head. Once you get the hang of it though, it's very good.
Permalink Reply by Oliver Toasterfish on December 15, 2012 at 7:31am I've actually been really wanting to Everything Is Illuminated! It's been sitting on my list for a couple months.
Permalink Reply by rc on May 19, 2012 at 3:14pm I just started The Great Gatsby (guess where I'm at timewise in watching the vlogbrothers?). I am so desperately immersed in Fitzgerald's writing. That man forms quite an astounding sentence.
Permalink Reply by Kris on May 21, 2012 at 10:16pm Michio Kaku's Einstien's Cosmos
Many different topics. I really like this book, and anyone who like science (space focused) would love it too!
Permalink Reply by Carissa Mahorney on May 21, 2012 at 11:33pm I just finished Catching Fire by Susanne Collins. I think i am going to hate the world for a while...mostly because I don't have Mockingjay. This is why it took me so damn long to read the book. I kept putting off reaching the ending. I knew she was going to do something like this to me and you know what? She is evil!!!!!! And I love her, but this goes too far.
Have I ever mentioned how much I despise cliffhangers?
(please excuse all my ranting. just chalk it up to PETD...post ending trauma disorder)
