Let's see. Well, in my wildest dreams, I will go to a college and get a scholarship so that my parents can save their money for college for my two little sisters, and become a journalist. I will start with internships and basic work while gradually working my way up so that in a decade or so I'll be working for a magazine like Seventeen and be in charge of interviews. Then when I'm financially stable, around 30 years old, I'll meet the man of my dreams and move to London where we raise our two children and have a pet cat. Then I'll take a break from journalism to publish my bestselling fantasy/science fiction novel and be ranked among J.K. Rowling as a great author and using my  money earned from that I will work in Africa to build school for girls in need. Then when I die in my sleep at the age of 90 I'll have hundreds of people mourn my death.

Yeah, that would be the perfect life, but I'll be happy if I just get a good job writing for a newspaper and raise a family. :-)

its a toss up between lawyer, rocket scientist, and ruler of the world... or at the very least a country.

Its a tie between being a playwright, a composer, director or a music teacher at a school.

I'd like to obtain a Master's in International Developmental Economics, hopefully while studying abroad, and then work for a libertarian thinktank or policy organization to help with economic development in Africa and South America.  I'd like to write a book or three of fiction in my spare time, which will hopefully bring in enough spare money for me to travel constantly.  I'd like to learn an obscene amount of languages and make friends across the world and explore everywhere I can.  I'd like to live abroad if only for a short time.  I'd like to love someone and be loved, and maybe marry them.  I probably don't want to have children, but I'd dearly like to spend time with any children my brother has.  I'd like to have a pet bird, and learn to play the guitar and knit, but not at the same time.

My greatest dream of late is to a proud owner of a photography studio and make a living off doing something I love. Smaller goals include making it to open in both Standard and Latin competition Where I was in April (ps i was the chick in the pink shirt with the white skirt dancing with the blonde) vs Where I would like to be at some point... in my life

I would as like to graduate college at some point :P

Uhm, I want to get a Phd in philosophy and masters in psychology and physics, then I want to get a Job as a teacher or professor and I want to continue studying throughout my entire life by means of open university :)

Let's see. Well, after high school I'll go to a good college (preferably a university like Harvard or Yale, wishful thinking, I know, but one can dream) and study physics and computer science. Then I'll go on to get a doctorate in physics and become a researcher/professor of physics at a university. Family? Maybe. Wife? Maybe. Though I might write some books on physics and maybe I'll write a fiction book for fun.

I'd like to be a successful medical scientist. I would love to make a scientific contribution to the world, help people, and maybe save a few lives. I would also like to travel a lot. I always wanted to publish a novel, so that's a goal.

Other than that, I'd just like to be happy and help people. And be incredibly smart. And have great friends. And attend a comic con.

So yeah, that's pretty much it :)

How could I have forgotten to mention attending Comic Con?

Haha, we may never know. I'm sure it's a long standing dream for most of us here.

As is meeting the Vlogbrothers themselves.

And Vid-Con.

I'm going to take my straight A's, experience of numerous clubs, and ACT score of 31 to the University of Louisiana in Lafayette (ULL), which takes pretty much anyone with an ACT score above 23.  I know, aiming low, but it's cheep and close to home.  Plus, I was never into all the partying that life at LSU has to offer.

I think I want to be a doctor.  Probably a neurologist.  It would be nice to cure Alzheimer's or Crohn's or muscular dystrophy or cancer or diabetes or something.  I want to do something great.  I'd like to also write fiction novels.

Plan B: I get doctorates in biochemistry, anthropology, and psychology.  I travel the world studying different cultures, the foods that they eat, and their behavioral habbits.  This eventually leads me to selling my own line of food products that control hormone levels, allowing me to somewhat enslave the brains of all my customers.

I'd like to meet a nice guy, have a couple kids when we're ready, and maybe join a nudist colony for a few minutes if I ever gain any self confidence.  I would also like to lose a lot of weight and get people to stop making "Alix has tuberculosis" jokes.  I want to play Mrs. Potts in a production of Beauty and the Beast.  Oh, and I want to look cool wearing a fez.

Hey Alix,

I had a similar high school academic record as you did, and I went to a local state school (USF instead of UF which is our major partying school). I believe attending was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only did I graduate without an ounce of debt, but I met some of the most brilliant, kind and down-to-earth people (people who graduated from college with 4.0 gpa's, conducted amazing research projects, and will undoubtedly change the world). Most of them would not have been able to attend college without Pell Grants and the assistance that my university offered, and in turn, they were the type of individuals who took nothing for granted.

Don't feel like you're aiming low. You'll inevitably meet more people like yourself. Just open yourself to all of the opportunities that come your way. Study abroad and stay with a host family. If you're interested in neurology, see if you can get involved in undergraduate research or join medically-focused community service organizations. Join a creative writing club and submit your writing to your school's literary journal or newspaper. College will open the world up for you, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful 4 years.
