So, if you go to the YouTube homepage, you will see their amazing new bandwidth-saving text-only videos. Also, Google has announced that it will today be changing its name to Topeka, in honour of the Kansas town that changed its name to Google last month. Furthermore, if you are using Google Wave, you can now have a dude sent round to come notify you of new Waves, and Google UK is testing a new animal-to-human translation service.

I suspect that the iCade - the iPad Arcade Cabinet - is probably ThinkGeek's celebration of the day, though possibly everything they are advertising today is: MyFirstBacon, the MoodINQ programmable tattoo system and... well... everything :)

In the news, there are plans to turn London Underground's Circle Line into a second Large Hadron Collider, ferrets will be used to bring broadband to rural areas, the UK Automobile Association will be coming to the rescue of stranded motorists with their flying jetpack repairman brigade, and BMW is offering different coloured BMW signs so that UK voters can show their political colours in the upcoming elections.

Oh, and how could I forget! Gordon Brown's crack team of spin doctor's are cleverly using recent allegations of his anger management issues in the election campaign:

"One tactic being discussed involves provoking a physical confrontation at one of the three ground-breaking TV debates between the candidates.
