I fed my child and put him to bed, and then took a moment to relish the silence...
and then I danced!

I'm also a new Nerdfighter. :>
Permalink Reply by Malinda Yoakum on December 16, 2011 at 8:45pm I just became a "declared" Nerdfighter about 30 mins ago. I say declared because I feel you can actually be a Nerdfighter and never know about it, thus we need to spread Nerdfighter Awareness. Is it strange though that my "happy dance" is more like a nervous tic. Like for no reason, whatsoever, I rub my hands together when I am 1) excited about something 2) nervous about something 3) about to eat 4) when they are cold. Ok, that last one might be a hand warming ritual but still.... Anywhos, I had a guy break up with me when I was a teenager because he noticed it.
His loss. Woot!
Ooh what a chuckler, you!

these are very broad, general guidelines. i'm not asking you to single-handedly stop world hunger (sidenote: if you can do that, please do!); but even the small moments in life can decrease worldsuck. ever make a friend laugh through their tears? WORLDSUCK DOWN! ever do a thing just because it was right? WORLDSUCK DOWN! ever use brains and moxie to solve a problem? WORLDSUCK DOWN!
in essence, if you just became a nerdfighter, you're already a nerdfighter! keep doing what you do, you would not have landed here otherwise.
Start finding other nerdfighters to talk to! online or IRL, your choice
