I just became a "declared" Nerdfighter about 30 mins ago. I say declared because I feel you can actually be a Nerdfighter and never know about it, thus we need to spread Nerdfighter Awareness. Is it strange though that my "happy dance" is more like a nervous tic. Like for no reason, whatsoever, I rub my hands together when I am 1) excited about something 2) nervous about something 3) about to eat 4) when they are cold. Ok, that last one might be a hand warming ritual but still.... Anywhos, I had a guy break up with me when I was a teenager because he noticed it.
His loss. Woot!
Ooh what a chuckler, you!
1: find thing that sucks
2: make thing suck less
these are very broad, general guidelines. i'm not asking you to single-handedly stop world hunger (sidenote: if you can do that, please do!); but even the small moments in life can decrease worldsuck. ever make a friend laugh through their tears? WORLDSUCK DOWN! ever do a thing just because it was right? WORLDSUCK DOWN! ever use brains and moxie to solve a problem? WORLDSUCK DOWN!
in essence, if you just became a nerdfighter, you're already a nerdfighter! keep doing what you do, you would not have landed here otherwise.
well said Bennie
Start finding other nerdfighters to talk to! online or IRL, your choice
talk to people, with similar interests and don't forget to be awesome! ( you already are for joining!)
i'm new here too! :)
that is quite fantastic.
I agree with doing a happy dance. You must then proceed to put stuff on your head. You must then make a promise to eventually watch all of their videos. Well the last one is not required but that's what I've been doing in my spare time in college and I love watching it all grow into what it has become. I'm now halfway through Brotherhood 2.0 and it's awsome. :D
Well, you should watch the March 14, 2007 vlogbrothers video. That really helps. Write a verse to the nerdfighter song, do a happy dance, leave some comments....
But most importantly:
Just be yourself, and make the world a better place. That's all a nerdfighter really is!
