If your a fan of Harry Potter and most of you nerdfighters should be ^-^
Then you'll know that a love potion smells differently to different people. I think it would be interesting and fun to find out what your love potions would smell like and why.
Mine would smell like old books, paint, fresh popcorn and burning pumpkins.
Why? Because books are my first love. Paint because im always covered in the stuff and im so used to the smell. Fresh popcorn because the pictures was the first place i went on a date with my ex boyfriend. And burning pumpkins because autum is my favourite season and i think it smells like pumpkins.
What does yours smell like?
I wouldn't really know, don't think i will ever smell mine. Every time i think i catch a wiff it's gone, It's my purgatory really dinner drinks whatever, never really that interested but i find myself telling her how beautiful she is anyway, cause its true all women are in one way or another, you know theirs always something about every damn one of you, a smile, a curve, a secret. You ladies really are the most amazing creatures, my life's work. But then theirs the morning after, the hangover, the realization that im not quite as available as i thought i was the night before, and then shes gone and im haunted by yet another road not taken.
Mine would smell like:
Chocolate because of the warm feeling that it gives you, and it spreads happiness(especially when you've been confronted by Dementors! :D)
Paper, because of books and writing both of which I adore.
Rosin(its tree sap that is used by string players; we put it on our bows to make ti easier for the bow to grasp the strings.) because of it's earthy smell, and because I love the cello.
Love the question!
Vanilla extract--I use it in place of any kind of perfume/smell good stuff/anything simply because it smells so damn good...
A library, so many wonderful things can happen there, not to mention that smell of old and new books all under the same roof.
That heady smell that permeates a room right after a good tumble, where there are still traces of the scent of both our skin in the air.
...freshly baked cookies, not so much for the smell, but for thought of the inner peace that comes with baking yummy things on a quiet afternoon, soft music playing that that smell would trigger.
Wild raspberries and blackberries...and violets. I have my reasons.
...clean boy smell. Like, freshly washed he smells like himself and maybe just a hint of some Old Spice smell. I love when guys smell like themselves, I've never been a big proponent of cologne, mainly because I can never find one that I like well enough on a man. Nothing turns me off quicker than Lothario cologne levels or bad boy smell.
Books - new, old doesn't really matter.
Apples - because they are extraordinarily delicious.
Dry leaves - the kind that crunch when you step on them. Fall is the best season ever!
Sweat - I know it's gross but I run and love running and runners and I'm around the smell a lot. It's nice when you get used to it.
Rain - dancing, need I say more?
Snow - it has a fresh smell and reminds me of Christmas and Colorado, two of my favorite things!

1. books - because I'm a complete book (esp. HP) nerd
2. bug spray (Repel Deep Woods Sportsman 40%) - I know, strange. I used to work at a summer missions camp, and this smell just makes my soul feel at home. Combine with old books, and I'm in heaven!
3. honeysuckles - when I was younger, I lived across the street from the nicest lady with a large garden and the most ginormous honeysuckle bush i've ever come across! Our street smelled amazing!
4. freshly laundered sheets - because they smell so good, and I always have the best nights of sleep on freshly washed sheets!
HEY! finally someone else who enjoys the smell of books!
Mine would be old books, mint, hot apple cider, and bounce dryer sheets
I love the smell of old books and libraries. Mint is the smell that makes me think of happiness, hot apple cider makes me think of autum and winter which is a double winner. and bounce dryer sheets make me think of clean-ness
Hmm my love potion would smell of mountain fresh air, chocolate chip waffles, and chlorine. Not sure how they all combine together, but those have to be some of my favorite smells individually.
