Whats with people trying to sell me medication?

So I might be missing something but why are most of the the threads in the forum bot's trying to sell me medication?

Sometimes smaller websites that have smaller staff members and make less revenue can't keep out the spam-bots. Why they're specifically trying to sell us medication we almost certainly do not need is a mystery to all of us. I figure if it was just simple trolling they would all be related to increasing my penis size.

Also, principle of numbers.  If they spam 100 times, odds are at least 1 person will click on their [virus-infested] links, and money will be made.

It's like when you see the most stupidest annoying advertisements on television - infomercials and stuff like that, are the TV equivalent of this medication spam
