I found that I really liked watercolors for a long time, but that's because I was too scared to branch out, and once I did, I found that --despite the terrible things people say about them-- I absolutely loved oils. And for drawing I really just like a black pencil or 2B. But I love drawing in sharpie (:
So what about you guys? Tempra? Acrylic? Oils? Watercolor? Charcoal? etc, etc.
Sakura pens are great for inking but I think my go-to for drawing in general has just become regular black ballpoint pens :D
Have you ever tried painting in acrylics? They're my absolute fav!
Never underestimate the power of a normal pen, my Spanish homework is always covered in black-pen doodles xD
And yes, they're okay, but I that I become really frustrated with them, so I prefer watercolor or oils haha.
Yes, I quite seriously do mean that I do draw freehand with exacto-knives. Sometimes. The above version isn't an example of it, but I have in the past. It's kind of fun, and can pave the way to some lovely contrasts.
Lemon Demon ftw!
Also: This art is too awesome for words. Can we be friends?
