Where art thou, Librarian NerdFighters?

Hey, I'm Allison and a teen librarian in Irving, Texas.

I've been lurking around here for a while now, but now I want to find other librarians out there that are made of awesome. I should forewarn you though--I'm still a bit of a newbie!

Wow, this is starting to sound like a personal ad. LOL. Well, if you're a librarian (or want to befriend a pitiful one with no friends), wander this way...

Also, we have no teens, so my co-librarian and I are trying to rebuild that program. So, obviously we are mad dedicated because it's a challenge, but it's really rewarding.; ▶ Reply to This

Mostly I am expected to know everything about everything. I do not. So I have to look up things like what was the name on the cat on The Brady Bunch's pilot episode (Fluffy, btw--though it changed after that to some other name I can't remember).

But the teen part, that's fun! I loooove buying books and manga. And I get advance reading copies of the latest teen books. Yay to reading Paper Towns before it's even out! And I get to plan goofy programs. I can make an awesome rose out of duct tape. I have more fun than the other librarians ;-); ▶ Reply to This
