Yeah. Lately I've found that I have a lot of IDEAS for writing, but I just don't know where to start when executing them.
I would really like to write a novel one day, but I write in this weird lumpy incoherent way. I need to force myself into it.

When in doubt, always start with an explosion.
Trick I found helpful was write just 15 minutes a day. Don't look at what you've written for a month. You will be shocked how many pages you'll have, it's quite the encouraging sign to make you want to write more.  And 15 minutes soon becomes longer and longer and you find yourself enjoying it more.
I REALLY want to write in John Green's style, but I can't find any ideas on the level of Paper Towns or Looking for Alaska. Idea sharing in this thread could really help me.

Why would you want to copy his style?

The best recommendation I would give is just to write. John Green didn't just sit around on his butt until the entire plot of Paper Towns smacked him in the face. He wrote a bunch of it, edited it, and then had someone edit it again several times for him. During those edits the plot began to form itself, the original draft was probably way different so don't worry too much about it.

Yeah. Thinking about it. You're right. I think I need to go back to the drawing board for a while and as you said, write a bunch of a plot line. Maybe something will come to me.
What are you passionate about? What can you talk about for hours and hours and not get bored? That might be a clue as to what you want to write about.
Exactly, read things you enjoy and get inspired. I just regained my inspiration by reading a few short stories by Lovecraft. Lovecrafts mythos wasnt complete until he wrote 6 or 7 short stories loosely connected to it, so we all have a nice chance of writing something memorable
I have this problem when I'm writing where I'll only write out a couple of chapters or scenes.  No matter how short it may be, I can never complete a story from start to finish.
Been starting and stopping for 3 years on a mystery/comedy.
I've been hitting my head against a wall in my plot line for a novella I'm writing. I'm mainly confused on how I can develop characters without having a drastic change of mind for my protagonist.
I am in need of assistance right now, lol.
I've been struggling with songwriting. My own lyrics are never up to my standards, and I have real difficulty pleasing myself. I'd like to be able to write lyrics that measure up to what I listen to, but they always lack that certain something.
