most people would instantly say yes, but i'm asking you to think about it. of course it matters who the thousand are and who the person who would die is, but it really wouldn't matter. i beleive the only thing that would matter in the answering of this question is whether or not the person is willing to die for those thousand. and, of course, how that person would die. so, give me your feedback, and what matters to you in the answering of my question...

So are you saying that either I kill someone would would normally live a normal life, or 1000 people instantly die? How is that a choice? Of course I would, I would slash him/her righteously with a samurai sword.
I think that we have to deep with ourselves because most people would agree that if it were them they wouldn't die for a thousand so why expect someone else who doesn't know you to do it. Now the person who started this discussion is right on the fact that is matters on who that thousand are, and whether that person is willing to die, and I will something to that last part: The only way someone would be willing to die is if it is their family that is being endangered.
It would depend; like if I was forced to kill the person gruesomely or I just found out this info that if I kill this one person I'd save a thousand lives. And how do I need to kill this person? But ultimately, I don't I'd chicken out. I'd be quivering, snot running down my nose like a faucet, my body shaking but overall I'd shoot the person. It wouldn't be a pretty sight, but one life is always more than a thousand. But also, who is this person?

Would it be the President? Someone really important to society or what?

Way too many question, but I guess this is a serious topic.
