Nerdfighters

I am a HUGE Jesus freak. I live for the Lord, and I know I'll die for him too. He is my savior, and as I've suffered from Bipolar Disorder my whole life, I'll willingly admit if it weren't for him I probably wouldn't be here right now.
I don't mean to offend anyone, and I want your honest opinion, please. I love debates, and I believe it's a good way to make friends. So let's see if we can make some new friends through this. :]

There's already numerous threads on this and related topics, why start another new one? It's borderline trolling.
Oh... I'm kind of new to this website, so I did not realize that... Haha, I guess I could've done some more research... :D
ah, don't worry about it.
It's always good to have some devoted christians here.

best wishes!
I am an atheist, but I have absolutely nothing against any religion. I think that whatever you believe, you should believe in wholeheartedly and without compromise, and it seems like you do, so I respect you a lot for that =). I am not going to say that there is no God, because frankly, I don't know if there is or isn't. It's just what I believe. But, I could debate the issue with you (I love to debate too =D).

Also, I could be your friend =D.

Oh, and one other thing, I love going to church. Not for religious reasons, I just like being around all that positivity =) ....um, I also like smileys.... hence all of these... sorry lol
Haha, that's awesome. It really doesn't make sense that so many people of other religions and Atheists dislike all Christians. Sure a lot of us are kind of rude and try to force our beliefs down your throats, but also a lot of us are really nice and completely respect your choice.
There was this guy at church camp a couple of years ago. He was Atheist, and when everyone found out, we didn't care. We let him go to camp every year, and just worked at helping him find God. He never did, but he's still really awesome and one of my closest friends.
You really shouldn't say that many atheists dislike all Christians. Its like saying that ALL Christians force their beliefs down our throats. Most atheists are very friendly people. I live in a very Christian place, and if I disliked all the Christians I met, I would have no friends. There are some people who REALLY care that I am an atheist, but most don't. Those people told me I was going to hell (In a nice way I suppose. "I really don't want you to, but I know that you are going to hell"). If I did believe in a god, I would believe in a god that let all good people into heaven, not just the people that followed him.
I act way more "Christian" than many of the Christians at my school. I don't know what to make of that, but there it is.

Any way, I think religion is just a way for people to act in the best way possible. I can do that without the need of a god watching me, or a fear of going to hell, but if some people need that incentive, then they can have it.
I AGREE WITH YOU. And yes, I believe the caps are necessary. :)
Well, saying that many atheists dislike Christians is like saying that many Christians force their beliefs down all atheists' throats. I've come across a lot of atheists that have repeatedly told me my religion was stupid. But my type of Christianity does believe in an afterlife where people will be given another chance to accept the gospel, and that good people, like you seem to be, won't go to Hell if they lived the best they could without ever really knowing the gospel.
I really respect you for being this open to people with different beliefs than yours, honestly I think that the best possible trait in people is listening. If you don't listen you can't learn and you are just stuck in ignorance. kudos!!
I describe myself as an agnostic-humanist because to me history is kinda like my religion. Learning from the past and following it's example. To me art, literature and music seems like the divine being. I was raised jewish but only for the tradition really, my parents don't believe in one God either. I guess we are all on the bench, like if someone came up to me with bona-fide evidence that there was one god and purgatory and all that I would be like "great! count me in!" but i mean i just enjoy hearing about all religions-- Christianity (not those radicals who stand on the sidewalk yelling at you to repent and going around and violently pushing their religion down peoples throats), Islam (not radicals who do the same thing as I said in the last parenthesis), Judaism, Hinudism, Budhism, all of them. I think the idea is really cool and I guess my religion is just all of them blended together.
It's not the majority of atheists that don't like Christians, they're just more noticed because they point out whatever they decide to while the other ones don't really care. If anything, some have a reason to because they met extremists.
Can I ask you a question? In your religion, do those who do not believe in a deity (in your case God) go to hell? Do those who are Buddhist, or Muslim, or Agnostic, do they go to hell when they die? Regardless of how the lived there lives?

Newbie to the nerdfighter site.  I have to say that it is a relief that this site isn't like the rest of the internet.  Seems like an open mind is hard to come by nowadays.  I salute you sir.
