Something people tend to forget is that jazz lives. Support local and modern jazz musicians. And broaden your definition of what jazz is! It didn't just stop evolving in 1970. If you want a whole host of albums recommended to you, feel free to message me and ask, you only have to promise that you'll actually pay for them (via Amazon, or iTunes, or whatever - Jazz musicians need to eat, too!)

thats not really jazz. hip hop came from jazz (among other things) but thats spoken word poetry over a funky bass line. not really jazz but its a start.
