Nerdfighters

hey hey,

i found out that i really like astronomy.. and floating thru space in an organic space ship (earth) !!

(i just wanted to say that to be cool)

POINT BEING:

as we all know, the internet is wonderful but the down side to the net is that every fucktard can write whatever they want.

i'm broke but a proud owner of a strong WIFI signal/ internet-- so does anyone have any websites they found to be accurate AND helpful AND suited for beginners??

I found this intro to astronomy 101 lessons on about.com

but as the lessons progress, i'm becoming skeptic of the information.

so if anyone has a cheap/accurate way to studying this amazing field of science, i'd be so appreciative!

plus, it'll give me something to do besides be sad and stoned

If you have an iPhone you can get a free app called astronomy which lets you look round in real time at where the planets and constellations are located. This is what got me into astronomy and how I found Mars for the first time. I switched to android a year ago though and Im not sure the app exists
